Kamen Rider ooo Wonderful: The Shogun and The 21 Corse Medals (Takayuki Shibasaki, 2011)

While Hino Eiji (Shu Watanabe) is battling the evil Greeed, a new enemy emerges - one of the original creators of the Core medals and Greeed, the alchemist Gara. She is bent of destroying the world and is turning the country upside down, literally. To make matters worse, Eiji, Ankh (Ryosuke Miura) and Hina (Riho Takada) are transported back to 16th century Japan, where the only help they can find is from a mysterious samurai who calls himself Tokugawa Yoshimune (Ken Matsudaira).
For anyone who is a fan of the Kamen Rider ooo tv series, this film is a must see. Granted, you will spend a bit of time trying to work out where in the series it can be placed, as is the trouble with extra stories meant to fit into the original's narrative, but that aside it is a tremendous film guaranteed to entertain. There is plenty of the traditional Japanese sci-fi/martial arts action that only Japan can do well. The story itself is very clever and truly enjoyable, and the cinematography only adds to the pleasure. The acting from every member of the cast lives up to the expectations of the series and is fantastic, even if sometimes the dialogue that has been made for them may not make a great deal of sense. To cap it all, and I have to give a spoiler alert here, this is the only time one can see EVERY combo that you spent hours trolling across youtube to find.
Kamen Rider ooo Wonderful: The Shogun and The 21 core medals, truly lives up to its name in every sense of it. Even the future Kamen Rider had to join in on the action.
