In 1947, falsely accused banker Tim Robbins is sent to the prison Shawshank, where he proceeds to befriend the local items dealer Morgan Freeman and turn the cold dark prison on its head, turning tricks around the Warden and guards.
This film has been classed as one of the most famous, classic films of all time, and having recently re watched it, I can see why. The story of bro's up against the system alone is epic, but the sheer volume of ways that Robbins screws over the tool warden Bob Gunton, and manipulate the tough guy guard Clancy Brown (who you may know swinging a claymore round for Highlander) is amazing. Throw in a narration done by Morgan Freeman, and you've got one hell of a good film.
